Tassia Quirino, 30, was born in São Paulo, Brazil. She lives and works in London.

 

She studied Film at FAAP University (2006 - 2011) and made a Directing Course at University of Southern California (Los Angeles, 2009). 

 

Tassia started her career at Olhar Periférico (2010 - 2014), a small production company focused in documentaries and institutional films. She directed two short films: "Thread in Blue" (2011), documentary awarded at the Asolo Art Film Festival and "Home Sweet Home" (2014), fiction film awarded at The Walkers Festival. 

 

She founded and directed MOVE CINE ARTE - the first international festival of films on art in Brazil - focused on all types of artistic expressions: architecture, painting, sculpture, photography, dance, music, visual arts etc. The event took place in a small town of Minas Gerais State called Monte Verde in November 2012. The audience had the chance to watch films about acclaimed artists, such as: Anselm Kiefer, Pablo Picasso, Roman Opalka, Haruo Ohara, Cildo Meireles, among others.

In 2014, she started to work at Volcano Hotmind as a 1st Assistant Director. She took part in more than 40 advertising films for renowed companies: Unilever, Hyundai, Converse, Colgate, Chevrolet, Nestle, Nissin, Chilli Beans, Swarovski, SKY, Trousseau, Snickers, Ford, Ajinomoto etc.

In 2016, Tassia directed a series of videos to promote Converse Rubber Tracks in São Paulo, music project dedicated to provide free professional studio time for local and emerging musicians.
